What the app uses

The app stores a pseudonymous account key, your access plan, bounded Live AI usage, and aggregated token and estimated-cost totals. It does not store your Google, email, or ChatGPT password.

Sign-in providers

If you choose Google or email, Clerk handles sign-in and may process your email address and provider profile details. If you choose ChatGPT, Sites handles sign-in. The app stores only a one-way pseudonymous form of the provider account identifier for access control.

AI, saved practices and phrases

New Live AI lessons and their practice settings are automatically stored under your account so you can reopen them on another device. My practices holds up to 1,000 lessons until you delete them or delete application data. Raw Google Places responses and Google-sourced guide facts are not archived. Generated learning material may reflect information available when the lesson was created. Individual bookmarks remain device-local. Operational cost records contain the plan and token counts, not lesson text.

In Live AI mode, your scene, optional place text, and any request-only place research used for that scene are sent to OpenAI to create the lesson. Do not enter sensitive personal information. Bookmarked phrases stay in your browser and are not uploaded by this feature.

Google Maps and official websites

For approved testers only, Google Maps search sends your place-search query to Google Places API. Search results and place details are used for the current interaction and are not stored by our server; a selected Google Place ID may be saved in your browser so you can reuse the selection. For enabled official-site research, when an official website is available or you paste one, our server may retrieve a limited text excerpt and send it to OpenAI for that practice request. Google Maps Platform is governed by its Terms of Service, and Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Feedback

Feedback you choose to send is visible only in the private owner dashboard and is not posted publicly. It is stored with its rating, category, practice scene, app release, time, and a one-way pseudonymous identity used only to prevent repeated submissions. The app does not attach your name, email address, raw account ID, or IP address. Feedback is removed after 180 days.

Contact inquiries

The contact form stores the category, subject, message, optional reply email, optional support number, app release, submission time, and a one-way pseudonymous identity used for abuse prevention. Inquiries are visible only in the private owner dashboard and are not posted publicly. A reply email is optional and is used only to answer your inquiry. Inquiries are removed after 180 days.

Free guide and email challenge

If you opt in on the free guide page, the app stores your email address, consent time, challenge progress, and unsubscribe state so it can provide the 7-day Japanese practice challenge. When configured, the email address and consent timestamp are synchronized to Brevo for delivery. You can unsubscribe from challenge emails at any time; the interactive guide remains available.

Trials and billing

A cardless trial stores its start and end dates against the same one-way account identity. If you choose a paid subscription, Stripe processes the payment and card details. This app stores only Stripe customer and subscription references, selected product plan, billing status, paid access end date, and minimal duplicate-safe event records. It never stores your card number or security code.

Control and support

Your account screen shows a pseudonymous support number and a self-service control for deleting application data. Active subscriptions must be ended in Stripe’s billing portal first. The identity-provider account is separate and remains controlled by Google, Clerk, ChatGPT, or the selected provider.

Deletion removes practice usage, access-plan state, feedback, and contact inquiries held for ordinary app operation. We may retain the minimum pseudonymous trial, special-offer, fraud-prevention, billing, refund, dispute, or tax records needed to prevent repeated promotional use and meet legal obligations.

For help, use the private contact form and include only the support number shown in your account when account-level help is needed.
